The Hydro Gensye WTE ecosystem will have a profound effect on climate change by utilizing municipal solid waste to create low cost green hydrogen and a large scale. The energy available in MSW that is currently landfilled can generate power and heat that can be utilized on site to make the hydrogen. The remaining heat and power can be utilized for further processing of metals from scrap to ingots or stock. The ash aggregate can be added to cement and waste heat can be used for large scale urban covered agriculture and aquaponics.

 

Utilizing this method across the country would save 260,000,000 metric tons of CO2 yearly and generate 16.65 billion MWh of sustainable 24/7 power. There will also be a by-product of 18 million therms for local use. This amount of energy would displace approximently 885 million barrels of oil per year.  This is the way to get off fossil fuels for much of our power.
